Frankie Cocozza Boasted About Drugs Says Report

Frankie Cocozza, a promising contestant on the UK version of The X Factor, has been accused of boasting about his drug use by British tabloid newspaper The Daily Mirror. An audience of 13.8 million watched Frankie reach the final stages of the competition after singing The Goo Goo Dolls hit 'Iris' at the weekend.
The newspaper alleges that in a letter written to his friends holidaying on the Greek party resort of Malia, Frankie noted, "Gonna miss you boys loads, but just think of the high grade I'm gonna be toking on". The Mirror claims the singer was thought to be referring to strong "skunk" cannabis. A friend of Cocozza, on the same Greek holiday, said, "Frankie is a party animal and very open aboutsmoking drugs and jumping into bed with girls. The things he gets up to aren't a great example to children watching the show. He has been warned". Another friend claimed the letter was written "a few months ago" and insisted Frankie knows "what a great position he's in". After making it through to the judges' house stage of the competition, Frankie is heavily tipped to make it to the live finals - he is 12/1 with bookmaker William Hill to win the entire competition.
Following his rendition of 'Iris' on Sunday's Boot Camp show, Frankie sent the Goo Goo Dolls hit back to the top of the iTunes chart. The song, released in the 1990's, had only ever reached a peak of No. 26.
