Dont je ne peux que saluer l'idée "lumineuse" et créative, mais surtout CARITATIVE, car les 22 créations présentées le 28 Janvier à Paris à l'hôtel Pozzo di Borgo (51 Rue de l' Université) seront ensuite vendues aux enchères à New York, en septembre prochain, au profit de la ligue contre le cancer.

If you want to stand out form the crowd this Spring, feathers are the way forward. Nothing says, "I'm a fashion risk-taker" like a whispy, feather-tiered skirt or dress. The ladies above are already in the know. Whether it's conservative chic like Kerry Washington or abstract rebellion a la Rihanna, there are a myriad of ways to wear feathers. My favorite inspiration is from Jennifer Lopez. Turn up the glamour by pairing a feather skirt with a sequin corset for extra va va voom!

Feathers are best done in neutral colors like nude, black and white. This look won't come cheap so be prepared to spend some money, but it'll be worth it. There's nothing worse than cheap looking feathers. Try online stores like ASOS, ShopBop and Topshop for more economically friendly items. I have the black feather clutch from ASOS and wherever I wear it I always get a barrage of compliments. Finish a "feathered" look with gold accessories and sky-high pumps.

Le nouveau Grunge...

On s'est toute essayée un jour au look grunge...une allure négligée et décalée qui a su triompher dans les années 90...les yeux charbonneux et la dégaine qui va avec...



Du loose discrètement apprivoisé, mais avec parfois ce soupçon de non clean...qui forcément risque de tout gâcher..

Aujourd'hui, le grunge revient, mais cette fois il est carrément maîtrisé, avec toujours ce même principe...décalé, mais de façon raisonnée et rafinée. On mixe des matières inattendues, les styles, le grunge est devenu en somme un patchwork d'allures...




Et cela fonctionne à merveille, si chaque pièce se combine intelligemment comme un puzzle d'enfants.

On associe du luxe et du cool, de la soie et du jean...on superpose sans overdose...et chacun trouve son propre style "grungy"....pour ma part, je "grunge" mon style avec une longue écharpe en laine, qui traîne jusqu'au sol...ou encore avec un slim, chaussée sur des échasses...un top en dentelles marié à un treillis....et vous votre grunge à vous, c'est comment?

First Spring pour Prada...

La griffe italienne Prada, semble prendre goût à la réalisation de petits courts métrages pour mettre en scène ses collections, on se souvient encore de ce délicieux film d'animation : Trembled Blossom....

Aujourd'hui, elle revient sur le "devant de la scène" avec un film intitulé : First Spring, réalisé par un artiste et photographe chinois prénommé Yang Fudong.



Filmé en noir et blanc...le Shanghai des années 30...des hommes tout de Prada vêtus (collection été 2010) ...marchent, volent...tout est ici comme dans un rêve....avec beaucoup de classe et d'allure, mêlant modernité et tradition chinoise....Qui aurait cru un jour... que les communistes s'habilleraient en Prada... Miuccia , elle l'a toujours cru !!

Apart from the dress, this look will cost you at least $500! I tried to look for more economically-friendly alternatives but the cheaper stuff looked, well, cheap! I'm still in love with sequins and have been for the last 2 years. Just do a search for the word "sequins" on this blog if you don't believe me. The peep-toe boots give this look the hard edge it needs, but bring the look back to sexy with blinding earrings.
